Absolutely!
You're only as old as you feel. If your spine is inflexible stiff at 30, you are old; if it is completely flexible at 60, you are young. (Joseph Pilates)

Regardless of your current level of fitness or age, from office worker to fitness enthusiast - the Pilates method can be your primary mode of body conditioning and injury prevention.

Pilates can be enormously beneficial for children and teenagers because they tend to develop bad postural habits at an early stage.

The Pilates method can be safely used by pregnant women to learn proper breathing and body alignment to ease pain during pregnancy and delivery, and quickly recover body shape and tone after pregnancy.

Pilates is ideal for relieving back and neck problems, whether your job requires you to sit all day long in front of a computer, or whether it requires heavy lifting or repetitive movements.

If you have an injury or chronic complaint for which you've been receiving medical treatment, we will request a letter from your doctor, physician or therapists outlining the problem, in order to tailor the exercise especially for you, and work hand in hand with them. Pilates can help and rehabilitate everyone, whether suffering from asthma, after a stroke, partially paralysed, recovering from surgery, arthritis, scoliosis, osteoporosis and other problems.

You can start Pilates at any age, even if you are 65 or above, it's never too late to start.

Many dancers and athletes use Pilates to prevent injury and improve performance. It has been found to be particularly valuable in preventing and treating repetitive motion injuries and tendinitis in football players, golfers, tennis players and the like.

In 10 sessions, you'll feel the difference; in 20 you'll see the difference; and in 30 you'll have a whole new body. (Joseph Pilates)

Like every other thing in life, the more committed you are, the more quickly you will see the results. Pilates is neither a miracle nor an overnight workout.

Aim to do a Pilates session every other day. Your muscles will be well rested but they will "remember" how the movements felt from the previous session.

Pilates is a systematic method that requires time, concentration and patience, however the results continue to manifest themselves. We recommend supplementing Pilates with a safe aerobic activity, such as walking, swimming, running, cycling etc.
